FAQ
How do I get my spreadsheet?
It's an instant digital download through Etsy. Your files are available as soon as your payment is confirmed: open the Etsy confirmation email and select View your files, or go to You → Purchases on Etsy. Nothing is shipped.
What's in the download?
A PDF quick-start guide plus two .xlsx files: one to import into Google Sheets and one for Excel. The PDF also has a "Make a copy" link that puts your own copy straight into your Google Drive.
Does it work in Google Sheets and Excel?
Yes. For Google Sheets, all you need is a free Google account; it works in a web browser and the Google Sheets app. The Excel copy needs Excel 2019 or Microsoft 365 and is provided as-is: some formulas and automation may not work in Excel, and support covers Google Sheets only.
Is there a subscription?
No. You pay once on Etsy and the files are yours to use for your household. There are no scripts, macros or add-ons.
Can I edit it?
Yes. Input cells are shaded light tan and everything else calculates for you. You can edit the sheets however you like for your own household's use. Please don't share or resell the files.
Is this financial advice?
No. It's an organizing and estimating tool. Payoff dates, net worth and other projections are estimates based on the numbers you enter.
Something isn't working, or I need a refund. Who do I contact?
Digital downloads can't be returned, but if a file won't open or a sheet isn't working as described, email admin@slatesum.com (or message the shop on Etsy) and I'll fix it. If I can't, I'll refund you.
